1) HEALTH PROTOCOL

  • Please, complete the SCHEDA PERSONALE DI RISCHIO (SPR) form with the support of your scientific activity supervisor, attaching all the relevant material safety data sheets (MSDS) for the chemicals and biological materials used in your activity. Ensure that the form includes all the required signatures (Director of Bio@SNS, Scientific Supervisor and Chief Operating Officer).  If your activity is exlusively in silico, please, complete the SCHEDA PERSONALE DI RISCHIO IN SILICO (SPRS) form instead.
  • The scientific supervisor must verify that the final SPR is fully and correctly completed and that all the copies of the original form (one for the Centre, one for the SNS, one for the worker) are ready before the medical examination: remember that the doctor may refuse to perform the examination if the SPR is incomplete of incorrectly filled in.
  • Fill the medical examination request form
  • Bring to the doctor the original hard copy SPR form, a copy to the Bio@SNS admin and keep one for yourself. The SPR must be signed by all the parties indicated in the last page (the worker, the scientific supervisor, Lab director, chief executive officer).
  • After medical examination, return to SNS administrative office (and, if applicable, also to your home institution’s administration) a copy of the document issued by the doctor, the “IDONEITA’ ALLA MANSIONE LAVORATIVA” (certificate of medical fitness).
  • In case of  “IDONEITA’ CON PRESCRIZIONE” (partial medical fitness), a new medica examination will be scheduled following the required clinical tests, with the aim of obtaining full medical fitness cretification. Both the partial and full certificates must be delivered to Bio@SNS administrative office
  • If your scientific activity changes during your stay at Bio@SNS, submit a new or updated SPR and contact Bio@SNS Administrative Office to arrange a new medical examination.

Thanks for your collaboration Alessandro Viegi (COO, Bio@SNS)

2) SAFETY PROTOCOL

  • All Bio@SNS personnel are required to complete the FORMAZIONE GENERALE safety training and, if they carry out laboratory activities, also the FORMAZIONE SPECIFICA – RISCHIO MEDIO training. Since 2025, these courses are organized upon request by the Environment and Health and Safety Office in coordination with the Bio@SNS staff.
