Your data will be processed under the EU Reg. 679/2016 and Italian D.Lgs. 196/2003, as modified by D.Lgs 101/2018 on data protection.

  1. The Data Controller of the personal data provided by the data subject is the Scuola Normale Superiore, a public university institute, located in Piazza dei Cavalieri, 7 Pisa – 56126, in the person of the Director and pro tempore legal representative, the internal authorized is Alessandro Viegi (viegi@sns.it) , Chief Operative Officer of the Laboratory of Biology Bio@SNS. Other instructed and then authorized administrative staff will process your data.
  2. Personal data will be collected by the Scuola as part of your contractual relationship with the Scuola (article 6 lett. b) and processed for the completion of the latter as well as the subsequent management of all related activities in the Laboratory.
  3. Personal data are processed under article 6, sub e) GDPR to perform tasks of public interest within the institutional activities of the Scuola, including the purposes of archiving, historical research and analysis for statistical purposes. Personal data will be processed, also with automated tools (shared folders, software and databases administered by the Scuola), in compliance with the principles of accountability, lawfulness, correctness, minimization, transparency, integrity, accuracy, confidentiality and proportionality.
  4. The collected personal data will be communicated or transferred to third parties (public and / or private parties) in the context of institutional relations, for the fulfilment of legal obligations or regulations or of contracts, within the services required by the Scuola (placements, tutoring, access to facilities, etc.).
  5. The collected personal data will be processed and stored for the time strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which they have been collected, in any case, special provisions on the documentation storage by public institutions will be applied.
  6. The data subject may exercise the following rights:
    1. to access to personal data, in the cases and in the ways referred to in art. 15 GDPR;
    2. the rectification, erasure or restriction of the processing of personal data, in the cases and ways referred to in Articles 16-18 of the Regulations; erasure is not permitted for the data included in the documents that must be kept by the Scuola to guarantee transparency in public activities;
    3. the portability of data, in the cases and in the ways referred to in art. 20 GDPR;
    4. to object to the processing, under article 21 GDPR;
    5. the right to submit a complaint to the Italian Data Protection Authority.
