Biography

Current research is focused on the biological mechanisms of aging using the shortest-lived vertebrate, the annual fish Nothobranchius furzeri that we developed as model organism for aging research.

We integrate in a data-driven approach the genomic, molecular, cellular and organism levels of analysis to identify the physiological mechansisms controlling brain aging and lifespan.
